  • On a mat, lay flat on your stomach. Put your hands on your side.
  • Position your toes at the end of the mat so that you are forming a straight line. Make sure that your spine is straight.

  • Pull your head back, and make sure to keep your chest moving forward in between your arms.
  • Keep your abdominal muscles engaged to develop strength.
  • Hold it for about 10 – 15 seconds and make sure to regulate your breathing.

Wide Leg Forward Bend Pose

Another Common Yoga pose, The Wide Leg forward bend is great for stretching your back and building the strength in your hamstrings, and abs.

Here’s how you can do it:

  • Position yourself on a yoga mat and stretch your legs wide apart.
  • Make sure that your legs are spread at least 3-4 feet apart. Bend forward carefully all the way to your hips. If you go past your waist, you are doing it wrong.
  • As you stretch yourself downward, make sure that your back as straight as possible. Do not hunch.
  • You will notice that you are doing this correctly when you start to feel a long stretch along your spine and hamstrings.
  • Lift your arms from the back as far as you can and clasp your hands together.  Try to lift your arms all the way up so you can feel an extra stretch in your shoulders.
  • Depending on your comfort, you can hold this pose for about 5 to 6 breaths.

Half Boat Yoga Pose

If you want to get rid of your belly fat quickly, this pose will be the best choice for you. The half boat pose focuses directly on your abdominals. With this workout, you will instantly feel the burn while you are trying to hold the pose for as long as you can.

Here’s how you can do it:

  • On a yoga mat, place your palms firmly on the ground to achieve proper balance.
  • First, start by raising your legs upward. When you start to feel that you are at your most stable position, start raising your arms carefully so that they are parallel to the ground.
  • If you really want to get a kick out of this workout, you can try to add more space in between your knees and chest by leaning back as far as you can hold yourself. Make sure to move your knees the far from your current position. After this, you should start to feel more pressure on your abs if you manage to do it correctly.
  • Hold this pose for 30 seconds or for as long as you can hold yourself if you want a challenge.
